Why should I go on a retreat?
When you allow yourself time to retreat, you give yourself the gifts of time and space. Personal retreats are an opportunity for a true reunion with the real you. A retreat opens the door for you to do something great for yourself, and in the process do something great for everyone you touch in your life. If you're willing to honestly challenge yourself, a retreat can be a life-changing experience. It allows you the space and time to contemplate life, reevaluate who you are, and become better equipped to travel your journey. And in turn, you'll be better able to support the people in your life---at work, at home, and at play---and contribute to their wellbeing as you contribute to your own.

Every initial observation demands a deeper look. It’s naturally beautiful, yes, but also home to an artistic spirit bent on creating new beauty wherever possible.
Tulum is rated as one of the top 5 beaches in the world with miles of white, sandy beaches. It is a town on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo.
It was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Mayans. These coastal ruins are some of the most well preserved sites ever found, sitting above a 12-meter cliff overlooking the Caribbean sea.

You will leave this retreat knowing how to nurse yourself through holistic health exercises including ways to strengthen your mind, body, connection. You will be able to better care for yourself resulting in better care for your patients. After the retreat, you will be provided with the opportunity to have support and coaching with me.

• Arrivals; connection gathering ♥
Intention Setting & Orientation: Begin your journey with a session of intention setting, deep connections, welcome packet, and orientation for your Wellness Retreat. You will be invited to identify which intentions you have for beginning your life anew. Get centered, get comfortable: use this session as a great start to launch your retreat!
During this session you will set your intention and identify blockages that have been holding you back.

The easiest way to get to Tulum is to fly into the Cancun airport. From there you can take a bus, shuttle, or taxi to your destination. You'll find the ticket counters for all of these options immediately when you leave customs, and you can pay for your fare with pesos or dollars.

The story of EMPOWER Retreats
Ever since I was a little girl, I witnessed my mother (my super hero) a Registered Nurse & single mother juggle caring for me and her patients and saw many times she overlooked her health in the process. It was difficult to watch my mom succumb to unhealthy habits and overall not feel healthy and happy herself; even though she tried her best to nurse me and her patients to health. Admiring my mother’s passion for nursing others sparked my desire to become a nurse. In nursing school, I fully became aware of the constant battle between nursing myself and nursing my patients, empathizing with my mother and other healthcare professionals. Most of the time, I would choose my health last and it was not until I noticed the remarkable difference of the care I provided for my patients when I cared for myself where I knew something needed to be done! I coined a term with my nursing friends, Michelle and Diana— “(M)ursing before Nursing” to promote care for (ME-the nurse) before caring for others. I then presented this concept at a Summit in Ohio on Promoting Health and Resilience for Healthcare Professionals. I felt and still feel ignited and passionate about this topic of spreading awareness on all the benefits of promoting health for nurses especially when I saw how my fellow nursing student friends also struggled with their self care rituals.

I desire more than anything else to create a healing space for you to connect to one another and most importantly connect with your mind, body, and spirit and become the lights for others to do the same.

When I was growing up I would always look for self worth in others instead of looking at the source aka within myself . I was raised in a family where my father showed love with material things and my mother was always switching diet plans to drop weight. As a young girl this started to develop my mindset on what self worth looked like -what I interpreted what I needed to be. I thought people, mainly boys or men would love me or want me if I looked a certain way or had certain things, suppressing myself worth deeper and deeper.
This drove me into having an eating disorder when I was in my early teens and slowly traveled with me through my 20s when I did my first bodybuilding show. Throughout this period I was in and out of toxic relationships looking for my self worth, striving to be wanted. It wasn't until my marriage ended from domestic assult, the moment I hit the concrete floor I knew my Self worth was way more than this life I was “told “ to live. I found my purpose and awakened my self-worth , fully discovered myself. Going through my self-worth journey, Growing from childhood wounds, mindset reset and manifestation, I’ve found that most people are not the Ill do it tomorrow people, But more so the ones that are committed to taking action now :) This is why I love being a self worth coach, Visualization Sound Healer and Intuitive Eating/ Movement Mentor.
Matt Feldhaus, our fitness and mindset coach!
Matt comes from us from sunny Los Angeles where he contain yes his lifelong passion for health and fitness as a personal trainer of functional fitness. Matt believes in health360; that there is a mind, body, and spirit connection. Matt hopes to enliven within each participant the understanding of how each influences and supports each other, and thus physical fitness can nourish the soul and strengthen the mind.
Matt began his fitness journey as a young kid, playing every team sport imaginable and spending his free time adventuring in the woods behind his childhood home. Focusing on track and football, two sports he continued into college, he participated in the junior olympics and won state and midwest regionals in long and triple jump. He continued his passion for competition after college and has completed over 50 races of all varieties, ranging from 5Ks and Spartan races, to urban obstacle course runs and full distance Ironman (140.6) triathlons.
But Matt’s real journey began on a fateful night when he was hit head on while riding his motorcycle by a drunk driver, a night that would change his life. He suffered multiple fractures, concussion, and a dramatic brain injury, with the doctors telling his father had he not been in such good shape, he would have been killed by this injury. From that moment on, fitness was forever going to be part of his everyday life and something he shares with others, not just as a hobby.
Matt continues to practice functional fitness and empowers his friends, colleagues, and anyone he meets with the encouragement to evolve into a more present being. Through the usage of fitness and nourishing nutrition, he coaches clients on the same discipline, grit, and strength inside the gym, can serve us in our everyday lives as we encounter stress, obstacles, and frustrations. Together, he hopes we all level up in our not only physical being, but our emotional & spiritual bodies to become a stronger, more balance self.
